Our plugins and theme follow the standards of WordPress internationalization. Below are instructions on how to translate the admin or back-end of HBook plugin and of our themes Adomus/Lavilla with [Poedit](https://poedit.net/download).

### Translating HBook plugin back-end

> ℹ️ We include translation in many languages. You can check first the list of [available translations](https://maestrel.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/34734439) for HBook.

1. Download and install Poedit
2. Open the **hbook/languages/****admin-language-files/hbook-a****dmin.pot** file in Poedit
3. Create your .po and .mo files by going to **File > Save as.**… We recommend that you save your translations in the **wp-content/languages/plugins** folder. By doing so, you can [keep your customized translations](https://maestrel.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/34799896). The name of the file should be **hbook-admin- **followed by your locale. For example, if you want to translate the plugin in Lithuanian the file must be named **hbook-admin-lt_LT.po** . The .mo file will be created automatically on translation.
4. Translate the strings you will use on your website
5. Save again to update the .po and .mo files

### Translating Adomus/Lavilla theme back-end

1. Download and install Poedit
2. Open the **adomus/languages/default.pot** (or the **lavilla/languages/default.pot** file) in Poedit
3. Create your .po and .mo files by going to **File->Save as... **: choose the **wp-content/themes/adomus/languages/** folder (or **wp-content/themes/lavilla/languages/** folder) and give the file the name of your locale. For example, if you want to translate the theme in Lithuanian, the file must be named lt_LT.po. The .mo file will be created automatically on translation.
4. Translate the strings you will use on your website
5. Save again to update the .po and .mo files
